Bluestar's Prophecy

Nightkit, Mistkit, and Tigerkit are born to Leopardfoot and Pinestar. Her litter's birth is almost fatal, especially with Featherwhisker's inexperience and Goosefeather deserting them. They are noted weak and fragile, being born a moon early. She and Mistkit do not say goodbye when their father leaves the Clan but simply sit next to each other, with a confused, glazed look in their eyes. Nightkit and her sister, Mistkit, both die only one moon after their birth, due to sickness and birth complications. Tigerkit, who was at first born as the weakest of the litter, soon becomes the strongest. He lives on and becomes Tigerclaw, and later rises to power as Tigerstar.

Pinestar's Choice

Nightkit is born to Leopardfoot and Pinestar of ThunderClan. She is very sick, and Goosefeather worries that her siblings and mother will not make it through the night. They do, but still are in danger.

Pinestar later announces he is leaving to become a kittypet. Nightkit and Mistkit are too weak to say goodbye nor know what's going on. Both are slumped on the ground with glazed eyes. Nightkit later dies of birth complications along with Mistkit.

When her father is leaving the Clan, both Nightkit and her sister, Mistkit are too weak to say goodbye, or even really know what is happening. They are mentioned to be slumped on the ground with glazed eyes. Leopardfoot asks Pinestar about the kits when he leaves, but he tells her that they will be fine. He says goodbye to his mate and she-kits, but gives a special farewell to his son, Tigerkit, who growls at his father.

The Ultimate Guide

It is mentioned on Pinestar's page that his biggest regret when he left to become a kittypet was leaving behind his mate and kits, especially Tigerkit.
